Incredible collab with Marea. I’m a little in awe that we may never see some of these dishes again.

Enjoyed a family style dinner with a few of my friends at Bangkok Supper Club. This restaurant is located right next to the Meatpacking District in Manhattan and may have made its way to my favorite restaurants I have been to. I highly recommend getting the Pork Jowl - the pork was cooked perfectly, but the onion rice was unreal. I put some of the Chilean Bass curry on the rice and it added another level of deliciousness. We then ended our dinner with their homemade sweet potato ice cream!!! As a potato enthusiast, this put it on top. 🥇

best 👏🏼 new 👏🏼 Asian 👏🏼 resto 👏🏼 of 2023!!! Probs a hot take oop but this was truly a gastronomical experience that just kept getting better. Both the food and the cocktails stunned us. If you want a smooth sweeter take on a martini, get the strawberry toast. If you want a fruity clarified milk punch drink, get the guava. If you want funky umami, get the truffle pandan. Now onto the food... the duck egg salad was the perfect savory, herbaceous start to the night (+some roe because why not). The beef tongue was tender and spicy, and the scallop ceviche + watermelon granita was sour and spicy and fresh; no fishy taste at all and the most unique take on scallop ceviche I've had ever. The beef tartare was good too but the other 3 apps stood out a bit more. The mains we got were all PHENOM - starting with the beef cheek curry, my god the meat was so tender and the curry was a bit nutty and so rich. The sea bass curry was lighter and fluffier, but packed more heat. And the pork jowl over rice was superb - garlicky, savory and rich. Definitely my fave of the three. The dessert option is simple - there's literally one choice, and it's ok, but paled in comparison to the main courses. Definitely will need to revisit at some point.
