This place slaps and the staff is so nice. We were driving back from an upstate trip and they let us bring our Dango (our dog) on the patio 🫣😭

Apologies for the single photo but I was extremely hungover. The owner was really sweet and we chatted for abit but I was just fighting for my life as he explained the drink to me (infused lychee, coconut water sourced, etc.). Matcha Koya was really refreshing and balanced, wish abit stronger of a matcha taste but this was a great pick me up :) Thank you Taste team 🫶🏻!

Made the funniest mistake of reserving the POOL TABLE instead of a dinner table. As such, a bunch of finance bros and people on first dates had to watch us play pool when we absolutely had no idea how to play + which is why it was good that the drinks were strong, I was too embarrassed. In my defense, the reservation said “Dinner, Pool Table” so who’s to say?

New matcha spot from the people behind Silence Please. I would get iced, not hot here since its abit better value. Solid and good quality for a WV matcha spot but pricey for suree 😭 I’m genuinely too poor for nyc matcha.

The lunch deal here ($48/pp) is great and quality, ambiance, pacing is much better than the og kips pay location. If I was an international student in Columbia, I fear I would go here for lunch multiple times a week 🫣

Funny how I never made a Beli post on this because of how awful our experience was so here’s a recap here: Food: Our biggest issue wasn’t even if we didn’t like the selection for the night but it was that the fish quality was all over the place. The uni was NOT CLEAN, the fish soup had a sour fishy taste as if not properly scaled, cleaned and the desserts were below average (even for traditional wagarashi) Ambiance: Seating seemed awkward to me as they weren’t serving from the huge empty space. I also generally don’t enjoy counter seating at this price point. Price: It’s $$$$ which we were ok with for a girl’s anniversary tasting menu but with the experience I’ve never felt more ripped off in nyc (and that says alot since I’ve bought some stupid sh) PROS: Dishes were plated nicely and they gave us commemorative menus for the night.

I’m sad that they caught on to people saving the old waitlist barcodes on your notes app so now you have to come in person to put your name down 🫣😭. I fear the wait is worth it but try to come on weekday nights instead! If not, Dolar Shop is always a great backup plan.
