I’m sad that they caught on to people saving the old waitlist barcodes on your notes app so now you have to come in person to put your name down 🫣😭. I fear the wait is worth it but try to come on weekday nights instead! If not, Dolar Shop is always a great backup plan.

Straight up bad. Waited an hour for this ?? Ok as I read other taste reviews I’m confused what the population actually believes. My friend and I BOTH agreed this was bad and we felt gaslit into thinking we were wrong cuz this place is so loved. - Banh mi bread was not tasty. Too flaky and big. The inside was also not well balanced (way too much meat in comparison to everything else) - pho was BAD. The noodles were like a fettuccine noodle? And SO much ginger. I didn’t love the accoutrements either. I wanted classic pho accoutrements !!!!! - summer rolls were good and standard do I have bad taste!!!!??!!!

This place was so insanely good holy I didn’t know bahn mi could be so good all the other places in the city should have to shut down until they learn from these people The OG Banh Mi, Bo Ne, and Bánh ướt chồng were out of this world this was the best possible distraction for keeping me out of the apt pre surprise 😁😁😇😇 Also running into Bradley while using his clutch waitlist right after telling everyone he got us the clutch waitlist was huge

I regret to inform you that this is indeed worth the 1hr+ wait… The OG banh mi is easily something I’ll be revisiting in takeout form in the future. There are some strong flavor profiles here (pates, fermented meats, and fishy sauces), but for those who like heavy umami and are game to experiment, I would highly recommend grabbing a few friends and trying this spot.

Best Vietnamese in the city imo. Bahn mi bread is soooo good we literally got 5 and everything else hit too. Portions are small but it’s nice bc you can try lots of things.

After you’ve scanned the QR code for the line once, they use the same link everyday so you can actually just put yourself on the waitlist without having to show up and go back in line. Will save you the hassle of getting there beforehand. Great Vietnamese food in NYC, one of the few food places. Reasonably priced as well, but bring some friends so you can try a lot.
