reading terminal market stop 1 the line for this place was insane. a lady we talked to that had just gotten 2 dozen donuts said this was the best donut shop ever. I do not agree with the donut flavors my dad picked out bc there were some that looked way better and I would’ve preferred a wider variety of flavor types, but I had wandered off somewhere else. anyways, solid donuts, not the best I’ve had. very sweet. the sugared pumpkin was my fav 🏆

friendly staff. vibes definitely felt like we were in philly. they had a wall of pictures with famous people that had come in, but I only recognized like two people. my dad’s sandwich came out first and he ate the whole thing before the others were ready which was a little weird. it was really hot inside so we walked to find somewhere else to sit. I thought it was good, but I honestly can’t tell the different cuts of meat apart, that could just be me though. I also had to add mayo, mustard, and horseradish to mine to give it more flavor. overall, solid first real philly cheesesteak experience 🔔

hello i’m reposting this review bc I accidentally had it down as a restaurant and it was messing up my other review ratings. sorry sorry sorry forgot to take a pic but had to go here bc of the name duh! also last boba run before taking piper to school :(( I got a mountain something tea with mousse and coconut jelly. unique teas and they have little jars of them that you can smell. mousse was a little sweet, I prefer the saltier cheese foam, but still good and creamy. you can only add one topping and flavor, but they give you a lot so that made up for it. some drinks you can’t add anything to which was lame bc I wanted a pineapple milk tea with boba, but what I got was good so it’s okay! and they came with a cute little string handle! 🐼

reading terminal market stop 2 tbh these could be from two different places, but I think they are both from this cajun spot. cornbread was fire. very nicely seasoned and textured fries. good catfish. shrimp gumbo hit the spot 🦐

pbbj banana whip. yum! not my first choice for toppings but they were out of the coconut milk whipped cream, so my sister picked this one instead. decent serving size, 3 of us shared this one, but I could definitely eat one on my own. all homemade toppings & fresh fruit 🦧

the chinatown in DC is pretty lame and small but we were set on finding somewhere to eat there. this place looked the best out of everywhere we passed and I don’t think I could’ve taken another step without eating something so bam this is where we ended up. we were met with one of the ladies yelling at us to hold on after we asked if a table was available. she yelled a few more times while we were there. other than that it was oddly silent in the restaurant even though there were full tables around us. the food was wayyyy better than I was expecting given the mid reviews it had on apple maps. all the sauces complimented their dish nicely. the crystal shrimp dumplings and scallion pancakes were particularly yummy. everything else was good too, the only critique I have is the pork bao bun was a little dry and not as fluffy as I like. red bean buns (not pictured 😔) were a perfect way to finish off the meal 🗣️

I keep forgetting to let the phone eat first so these are the pictures you get unless you look at the online menu which you actually should do https://eathawkers.com/menus/dining/ this is what we got: - Curry Laksa Ramen - Roast Duck Bao x2 - Hong Kong Wonton Soup - Yi-Yi’s Chicken Dumplings - Roti Canai - Soup Dumplings - Vietnamese “Goi Gá” Salad - C.K.T. - Curry Mash - Curry Duck Noodles - Jo-Hé Bag O’ Donuts so many good flavors and fun, old, circus sounding chinese music playing! our server gave us the curry mash potatoes for free and it might have been my favorite dish which surprised me bc everything before that was already so good and I was pretty full at that point then I took a bite and was like omg this is fire. they have a sauce flight thing they didn’t give us until we asked and I will say all the flavors were wayyy enhanced after putting those on so I would recommend 🐲
