Perfect, absolutely no notes. Gukbop is just as wonderful as ever. Bf got the Suyuk and it's so the opposite of Nonchalant, like what in the actual world LOL I legit started giggling when I saw it coming towards our table. Banchan 10/10, love when they mash the Pumpkin Banchan, it's so creamy!! The vibes here on a Wednesday night at 12:30am (so actually technically Thursday morning) is so different than regular dinner time hours. So lax and comfortable.

Amazing. Korean food is the key to any feeling that feels "too big" or "too much" for me, whether physically or mentally; Woodam is probably my #1 comfort food when I can't get 엄마표 집밥 (mom's home cooking). Side note: want to start journaling again.

Had to clock out of work early because the cold from the weekend didn't fully die down. My first and only thought before I actually hunkered down at home was "I should get myself the Spicy Sogogi Gukbap. That'll cure me." And it did. I also tried the Lava Rock Cheese Tteokgalbi today, as a pick me up, and wow! It sure did pick me up. Woodam does it again, with another 10/10. Mind you, I had to take this through the cold weather back to my apartment, and it was still fresh and moist, while the cheese kept its gooey integrity. Last thing to note: this place is so good that when I told my boyfriend I'd be picking myself up some Woodam, he literally expressed betrayal. That's how good this place is.

Read my review from last time- this still hits every mark and mention from the last visit we made here. Sundays are for TLJ, Car Meets, and Soup.

Picture 1: Our food when first came to the table; Picture 2: WE CLEARED. Again, pretty much stumbled upon this place while exploring the neighborhood, and it was perfect because the both of us were craving some good hearty soup!! And Woodam definitely delivered exactly what we wanted - no, NEEDED - for tonight. The banchan (side dishes) that came with the meal were also fantastic, specifically a very special shout out to the Broccoli and Pumpkin in Sesame Peanut Sauce and the Cucumber Kimchi sides. They were so good that both my boyfriend and I had something to say about them in specifics when we took our first bites. On to the vibes of the restaurant: it was very cozy and homey while being very modern styled, and yet still reminding me of classic Korean restaurant vibes. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful and it felt like they really enjoyed their jobs and their working together, even the way they interacted with each other seemed so. Overall 10/10. Loved this spot and we will definitely be here again to have the Sogogi Gukbaps again, and/or try the Oxtail Galbijjim (which also looks so exciting).
