was craving a guinness something FIERCE after a gritty week at work. dead rabbit is prob the best place downtown for one, but be prepared to pay a lil extra ($10 instead of the typical $7-8). the guinness hit exactly as I hoped.
we had a fire inkind deal we were trying to hit so we balled out more than usual. also got a frozen irish coffee which i’ve had before and is pretty solid but overpriced ($18). i’d prefer the one at nickel city but no complaints with this one.
we split some sausage bites, fish and chips, fried chicken, and an egg thing.
sausage bites were very good with a nice snap and flaky pastry wrapping.
fish and chips were eh. not really that strong.
chicken was okay but the menu said “contains allium” so not sure what’s going on there. maybe stay away if you are allergic to metal.
the egg was awful. it was $15 for a single egg. not sure how I let manny convince me into this. overly salty and not that warm.
overall I enjoyed the vibe here but at full price I would not get food here again. good drinks spot tho!
First time at Dead Rabbit, apparently there was some InKind deal going on according to Luke and Manny which was one of the primary reasons we wanted to go there. Also Luke was feining for a Guinness.
Food was solid, nothing crazy. I got the Classic Burger which I thought was pretty good but nothing to die for - it was $19 and I personally wouldn’t consider it a $19 burger, i’ve had better.
Good vibe at the bar tho, it was packed and the guinness was solid.
