Honestly I was really hoping this would be better than it was. A very interestingly located breakfast spot, decorated with hobby lobby’s finest. Nothing was really extraordinary about it. The pancakes tasted salty, the hashbrowns were dry, overall not great.

ok honestly, everyone was RAVING about this place that we were sitting next to. It sounds like once a month they do a special that is 4 courses with wine that accompanies each city they do in Italy. I honestly would love to try that out sometime soon. We both got the oven baked pasta which was so good but holy crap was it hot. Honestly i would love to give this restaurant another try if we do the 4 courses but i don’t think i’d run out of my way just for the oven baked pasta. There was one oven baked pasta with squash that sounded fire but they were all sold out. The focaccia was to DIE for with some balsamic and olive oil. I love date nights w blakey

The focaccia was unreal. Unfortunately didn’t snag a pic because I was hangry and we devoured it. The lasagna I’m going to give a soft 7 because it was boiling hot so I couldn’t comfortably eat it for 10 minutes. A crisis when one is already hangry.

Mama Mia! This was some good Italian food. Only drawback is the noodles were a bit too oily and buttery, but because of that it tasted delish.

phone did not eat first🗣️ if there is a sushi place i wish i could gate keep it’s this place. By far the best sushi ever especially at lunch. Every day they get their fish fresh from the fish markets near by. The staff is so friendly and always so attentive and ensure the best experience possible. I always get the seaworld roll and blake LOVES his chicken katsu (which you get all that and some miso soup for $15). we demolished our yellowtail, Halibut, and salmon sushi. The yellowtail is genuinely the freshest i’ve ever had. Enough about this place bc i still need to gatekeep her so bad😭

Since moving to San Diego everyone’s always said “oh have you been to monarch?” “You have to go to monarch” “monarch is the best”. Nice to know everyone lied to my face!! Honestly so mid but at these places you pay for the view, not the food.

You know when you walk into a pizza shop and the first thing you hear is “morning boss” it’s going to slap. I’ve been needing a new slice spot since moving to San Diego and this will most definitely be it. Super friendly owner, light crust with good undercarriage, and a super tasty sauce. Meatball ricotta was the winner.
