Our first time having northern Viet food and everything was so good. It’s definitely on the pricier side but I’d go back. Cocktails were well balanced, and not too sweet. I’d love to try the other dishes. We got the meatball and shank pho and bun cha. They were really filling but I wish my bun cha had more cucumbers and mint.

I’ve been here multiple times now and it’s always a hit or miss. This time was definitely a hit, I always get the 3 treasures which is stir fry eggplant, potatoes and peppers. This dish is always consistent. Then we got the lean beef, pork belly and oyster mushroom bbq sticks. Sometimes these can taste like gasoline but it tasted great this time, juicy with the right amount of spice.

We took Alex’s mom here and we enjoyed it! There was karaoke night on Thursday’s which was entertaining but they also had the Knicks game playing. We got Kwek Kwek (fried quail eggs), lumpia, sisig, kinilaw (ceviche), pork bbq, lechon with garlic rice. Everything was so good and the portions were just right. I love that they serve the Kwek Kwek and lechon with Sarsa sauce and vinegar because I love both. The garlic rice portion was so big as well, definitely could’ve shared with one other person because we all couldn’t finish our rice. We ordered a round of drinks too and they weren’t bad, I prefer sweeter drinks but if you like it less sweet then you’ll like these drinks.

Not sure if I just went during an off time but a lot of the ingredients were running out and the sauce bar was also very sparse. The bowl was good, I usually get tomato soup for Malatang but I got the Suan Cai (pickled veggies) one and it was good, very sour and a slight kick but I feel like it didn’t sit well with my stomach. I went to the bathroom after I got home and then after I ate leftovers, the same thing happened to me. I tasted my friends spicy mala and it was good but very oily. I got the house fruit tea and it was refreshing and not too sweet and the lychee balls were good! I think it was lobster ball with tempura bits.

What we ate in Disneyland! The popcorn smelled better than it tasted, it wasn’t as buttery as movie theater popcorn. The churro was good, maybe it’s cause I haven’t had one in so long but it hit the spot. We had the fried chicken and shrimp pasta at River Belle Terrace and it was good! The gravy on the fried chicken was so flavorful and the chicken was crispy but the veggies were nothing notable. The fried capers were so good on the pasta and the shrimp wasn’t overcooked and super flavorful. Our last stop was Pizza Planet, the pizza surprised us, it tasted like pizza hut’s pan pizza.

Somehow always end up here when I’m in LA and it always hits the spot! We got combo 2 (brisket, pork jowl, beef short rib, bulgogi) and went for lunch this time. Love that they have cheese, rice paper, and kimchi pancake as banchan which you don’t normally see on the east coast.

I love that they have a platter option where you can get 2 sides with white rice or garlic rice since we weren’t super hungry. We got 2 platters with lumpia, pork bbq, lechon and tocino with garlic rice. They were all really good, I would like to come back to try the sisig. The service is meh but food makes up for it I guess.

I got the strawberry matcha tonic and I believe Alex got Dolly Blend. The strawberry matcha was so refreshing, matcha wasn’t chalky and there were bits of strawberry pieces too. Alex said his coffee was good too.

This place is pretty pricey, most ramen bowls are $20 but I will say it was pretty good. I got the spicy miso which is the most popular one (wasn’t spicy at all) and Alex got the Hinodeya which had spinach in it. The fried garlic that is available on the table is so good.
