Quite literally shook by how much I enjoyed this place (or perhaps I just enjoyed the company, idk). Super cozy (read: tiny) Cajun Korean fusion spot in Midtown East of all places - incredibly unassuming from the outside but once you’re inside, it’s like you’re family??? Idk how to explain. The number of times I was asked how the dinner was going would normally strike me as alarming, but I honestly didn’t mind at all because it felt like they genuinely cared. We did the dinner for 2, which comes with 1 snack, 2 sides, 2 entrees and a dessert. We got the two kimchi sides which were perfectly acidic and spicy - the green tomato kimchi slightly beat out the okra for me, but it’s just cuz it tasted so light and refreshing. The shrimp toast was a tad oily, but came with this squash kimchi and tangy sauce that cut through the greasiness perfectly. The grits & jjajangmyeon were incredibly flavorful - can’t go wrong with either honestly. The pecan pie dessert wasn’t my fave - may suggest the classic strawberry dessert instead next time. All in all, was a homey and delicious experience.
