I can’t speak for the lounge/dance part of La Caverna since I went on a Wednesday. Dancing is usually on Fridays/Saturdays. My boyfriend reserved a table in advance although I assume you might want to make a reservation more on Fridays/Saturdays.
The atmosphere was very nice and tranquil. When you first walk in, you have to turn the corner and walk down the stairs until you’re greeted by a cave with lights, a bar in the middle of the room, and both tiny tables or booths. We opted for the table which was surprisingly knee length although we didn’t mind lol.
The drinks were nice, I got two Guava Caipirinha (Cachaca, Fresh Muddled Limes & Guava Juice) while my boyfriend got The Altamira (Malibu Coconut Rum, St. Germain, Champagne & a Splash of Cranberry) and La Caverna Cosmo (Casamigos reposado, Triple Sec, Simple Syrup, Cranberry & Fresh Lime Juice). I usually lean towards sweet drinks so the Guava Caipirinha was a favorite as the alcohol was undetectable. His drinks weren’t bad either. The prices seemed fair enough for cocktails in Manhattan $13-16
The food was great, especially the wings. I will ALWAYS opt for wings at a bar or lounge. The wings were tender, super crunchy, and came with buffalo and ranch. The steak quesadilla ($18) was great, it’s not something I usually order but was not disappointed at all. My partner ordered carne tacos ($15) and they were delicious as well. The tacos came with Guacamole and Homemade Ranchero Sauce. If I could take a jar of the Ranchero sauce home- trust me I would.
I definitely want to go back when the lounge is more active but I enjoyed it simply as the restaurant it was.
The prices were justifiable, the food was worth it, and the atmosphere was great.
My friends and I went to Singing Karaoke Club for my birthday and we have not stopped talking about it since.
The price was extremely affordable and was a big reason in why we chose to go with this location, with 3 people being 15/hr per person. However, the level of care and consistency the staff showed when helping with drink or food recommendations or with any technical difficulties is what ultimately sticks with me.
My friends booked the birthday room, with walls decorated in sprinkles and happy birthday signs (Perfect for a mini photo shoot before screaming your lungs out). Upon arriving to the room, one of the staff showed us how to work the tablet (they use YouTube so you’ll be sure to find any song you want) and some of the control panels for volume on both the mics and the music itself, as well as giving us complimentary water bottles. There’s a phone next to the door you can use to call the front to order food, drinks, or any inquiries really. The food and alcohol were not only reasonably priced but the portions were more than I was expecting! The shots were buy 3, get 3 free. All the shots are vodka based but if that’s not your cup of tea, they have an array of cocktails, soju, and beers.
I’m truly grateful to all the staff there. My friends and I have already decided this needs to be our go to spot for celebration and nights out.
