La Caverna

"I can’t speak for the lounge/dance part of La Caverna since I went on a Wednesday. Dancing is usually on Fridays/Saturdays. My boyfriend reserved a table in advance although I assume you might want to make a reservation more on Fridays/Saturdays.
The atmosphere was very nice and tranquil. When you first walk in, you have to turn the corner and walk down the stairs until you’re greeted by a cave with lights, a bar in the middle of the room, and both tiny tables or booths. We opted for the table which was surprisingly knee length although we didn’t mind lol.
The drinks were nice, I got two Guava Caipirinha (Cachaca, Fresh Muddled Limes & Guava Juice) while my boyfriend got The Altamira (Malibu Coconut Rum, St. Germain, Champagne & a Splash of Cranberry) and La Caverna Cosmo (Casamigos reposado, Triple Sec, Simple Syrup, Cranberry & Fresh Lime Juice). I usually lean towards sweet drinks so the Guava Caipirinha was a favorite as the alcohol was undetectable. His drinks weren’t bad either. The prices seemed fair enough for cocktails in Manhattan $13-16
The food was great, especially the wings. I will ALWAYS opt for wings at a bar or lounge. The wings were tender, super crunchy, and came with buffalo and ranch. The steak quesadilla ($18) was great, it’s not something I usually order but was not disappointed at all. My partner ordered carne tacos ($15) and they were delicious as well. The tacos came with Guacamole and Homemade Ranchero Sauce. If I could take a jar of the Ranchero sauce home- trust me I would.
I definitely want to go back when the lounge is more active but I enjoyed it simply as the restaurant it was.
The prices were justifiable, the food was worth it, and the atmosphere was great." - Peachy
