mmmm grace street is such a yummy after dinner place to visit 😋😋 you can never go wrong with their matcha beignets and their shaved ice!! dubai chewy cookie was good but not worth the price, i say that with every chewy cookie in mind. also, they have really good boba, and i rec their rose milk tea if you haven’t tried it already 😗 there’s usually a long line for thr bathroom but it’s usually really clean! quick service and lots of seating :) i’d definitely visit again!

split with my friends at take31 :P very expensive, small portions, and left hungry after spending $22 per person. the food was good but you’re kind of just paying for the experience !! we went around 6pm and it was super crowded so i recommend making a reservation. we walked in as a party of 5 and luckily, we got a table, but i think it would have taken a bit more time if our party was smaller.

hortus is temporary closed atm, no idea why, but i wanted to dish about their sotbap sets 😋😋 my favorites include the mushroom and the steak! lots of flavor, delicious sides + soup, and so worth it for the price. anyway, i usually go in around 12-2pm, and it’s decently filled with people, where you’ll always find a table. this is a nice place for dates, get-togethers, and business lunches! quick service, nice staff, and clean bathrooms! they can never do you wrong! also, factoring in other places around the area and their lunch deals, this beats every lunch special at any restaurant. my overall rating? 10/10

bcd is a very known gem when you visit ktown. it’s popular for a good reason and it definitely deserves every ounce of its hype! you can never go wrong with ordering one of their soups or galbi or japchae (my boyfriend loves LOVES it). but there’s something i want to talk about, something i need people to know about, which is the raw marinated crab. i’m not even a big fan of seafood, but this gave a good shock to my tastebuds. it’s super flavorful, filled with so much meat, and goes so well with the rice. other than that, the restaurant is really clean and lowkey modern. perfect for hangouts and dates (i came here with my bf on our first ever hangout 😋😋) and they have quick service. highly recommend people to try them out if theg haven’t already! overall rating? 9.5/10.

this place is sooo aesthetically pleasing. if you think the exterior is gorgeous, just wait till you see the interior! anyway, i won’t spoil the surprise for you, you should find out for yourself! anywho, the food was delicious and flavorful. i think one thing to point out is the serving size in account of the price. i don’t think it matches up, but honestly, good food is good food. i totally recommend the truffle japchae as it was the star of the meal. i think this is a stellar date spot and they have good alcoholic beverages too 😋😋 definitely a spot i’d hit every once in a while! also, remember to bring cash as they don’t accept card. there’s also an atm machine near the bathrooms but i’d just bring cash beforehand. my overall rating? 7/10.

a very quiet, cute space to enjoy a cold dessert! they have shaved ice, cookies, and cakes that circle around many asian flavors like black sesame, yuzu, matcha, and hojicha. they really did drown our shaved ice with that syrup but i’m pretty sure the total for that was like $18 😭 although they have a great flavor spectrum, i truly believe that the price point does not match the serving size 😓😓 if you want thai flavored desserts, i’d suggest nuar around union square! if you want matcha desserts, maybe try grace street at ktown. however, if you have a bit of money to spare, maybe this place will tickle your pickle. they have limited seating, no wifi, no bathroom, and no outlets. this isn’t a good study spot but it is a good place to catch up with your friends. my overall rating? 6.5/10 p.s. i think they support independent artists so that’s a giant plus 😋😋

this establishment opened up a few years ago, i originally wasn’t a big fan of it but i grew to like it with every visit :) also a classic date spot for me and my boyfie!! i love the amount of toppings (especially the bamboo shoots) they give per ramen bowl and my go-to order is always the kimchi ramen! their broth is flavorful and the noodles are perfectly chewy. they’re also in joint with a matcha cafe maiko so you can grab a matcha ice cream after your meal :) kyuramen also has a good number of appetizers and yummy thai iced tea!! this location also has the honeycomb seats!! the staff are very nice and they have quick service! bathrooms are always clean too so that’s a plus😋😋 my overall rating? 8/10!

go for their coffees but don’t stay for their matchas. my first order was a toffee hazelnut latte and it was mid, i wouldn’t get it again but it wasn’t too bad. however, their matchas? uhhh never again i fear. no matcha taste whatsoever, extremely milky, and definitely not worth the price ☹️☹️ the grand street location is very cramped with limited seating. no bathroom, wifi, or outlets but service is extremely quick. if you download the luckin app, you have access to a lot of coupons and deals so that’s a perk! but overall, i’d rate this place a 4/10. also, another alternative to luckin coffee is cotti coffee. they sell basically the same drinks :P

stumbled into this coffee shop for the bathroom and lowkey unlocked a gem! they don’t have a large selection of drinks or a lot of baked goods (i assume they sold the majority though because i went in around 4pm). they do have a few specials though, i remember seeing a gingerbread latte! anyway, i got a hot chocolate and it was nothing special, pretty cozy and warm. the shop itself is very nice with lots of seating, wifi, outlets, and a clean bathroom. people were working on their laptops which carried this studious mood throughout. service was quick and the cafe was super clean. i would definitely come back again to try other drinks. my overall rating? 7.5/10!

bibble & sip has a lot of desserts such as cream puffs, macarons, tarts, cookies, and brownies. last i went, the cream puffs were ~$5-$7 and the cakes are ~$9-14. in my opinion, everything’s pretty mid except for the cream puffs. i love the black sesame + matcha ones, they have the perfect “not too sweet” profile that your asian parents would enjoy. that’s how i feel about their macarons as well! in terms of their tarts and cakes, i find them too sweet and not worth the price :( there are definitely better desserts out in the city. the grand street bibble and sip is pretty small, no seating, bathroom, outlets, or wifi. just a quick pickup with very nice staff! my overall rating? 6/10
