separating flavor from price, good quality. portions were american and strong in flavor across the board. the rosti was consistently crispy around and through the meal despite something more to be desired from the soft insides. poached eggs very solid, perhaps carried by the quality and novelty of orange yolk. pastrami was pliant and flavorful despite its thin cuts. lavender cocktail was nice but not very memorable, probably i was more thirsty than patient. compared to the 10 other competitors on the same block i would imagine this sits in the middle but might as well be a tourist here for a break while traveling

so we had to try kangaroo meat. first place we found was this nice vibey hotel restaurant. waitress was real nice and they had funny water activated wet wipes. i got the noodle meal of the month that came with a lager. it could’ve been so good but why were the noodles crispy like ppusho ppusho. felt like the chefs were making fun of me. friend had chicken ribs, very solid good sauce flavor but i imagine you can find better bang for buck elsewhere. the kangaroo skewers were a highlight. couldn’t really tell you what the natural flavor was since the sauce and char outweighed. would compare it to beef and less gamey than expected but I wouldn’t call it authentic as well. wouldn’t really recommend this place unless you’re on a coworking business trip with some asians that want to throw money on something “new” yet still “safe”.

Schmucks Bagels

thought this place was just gonna be a random mid bagel shop. turns out i was the schmuck. after walking through an alley to set the mood, you open up into an urban clearing surrounded by office windows peering down at the cozy little gathering of jewish carbs. the variety of specialties they had spanned across cultures and diets. e had the fiery chick which was better than most chicken sandwiches i’ve had with soft chicken to bite through, still crunchy coleslaw and even snappier pickles. a bit overloaded on the mayo sauce with chili sauce on top but overall a great bite. my pastrami sunrise was more simple with added fluffy orange scrambled eggs and chili mayo sauce. the chili mayo sauce was my favorite part while each ingredient played its part. very worthwhile your time in melbourne especially deep in the CBD

had the beeg curry plate + naan. pretty satisfying. the healthy chicken salad place was alright. this outlet had some interesting places. so the chemist warehouse is a hygiene store. picked up some funny pants from TK Maxx, most places had big sales going on. the food was really cheap too

pretty solid solid for a burger joint. more shake shack than culver’s. the king was good, a bit under seasoned surprisingly for a cleaner taste despite the mac n cheese croquette. the pickles are weirdly soft and sweet, a bit disappointing but low impact overall. chili cheese fries were pretty good, nice and thin without being too salty. the chicken fries were better i would say. cheese gems was more of a fake cheese soup with tater tots added. much better at night with a drink i imagine but still no regrets for a 8 am breakfast.

Buc-ee's

words can not describe how magical this experience was. growing up in a diverse car centric community, i grew up craving the importance of other ways of getting around other than car which is still important but how Buc-ee’s treats you from every step of the experience starting from the parking lot to its bathrooms has truly captured the prime essence of America. there is no better example of what capitalism can accomplish: paying their employees what they are worth and transparency through. there was not a single time an employee wasn’t around to thank them for their service. the brisket XXL sandwich meat quality shines through with no plate, no veggies, no games. perfectly seasoned with sauce, juicy melt in your mouth beef with a perfect fat to protein ratio. garlic pickle chips very solid and surprisingly better texture than i’ve had from other jars. the texas cheesesteak burrito came out to be bad batch being extremely soft but the flavor was still there. brisket burrito a solid option for a lighter breakfast. saved the texas tea for later and the blue red combo icee sweet as always. it’s bathroom is what i imagine the halls of mount olympus is like, a sparkling clean gallery of porcelain thrones and how is it possible that there isn’t any graffiti anywhere. meeting the big man himself was a dream come true rewarding me with hospitality in the form of a sticker. my mom said she liked my hat because it’s just disarming enough to those who don’t know game and has been my lucky buc-ee ever since it was gifted to me. i have dreamed of visiting for years but never would have imagined how beautiful it would truly be from every step of the way. every customer, child, employee, and supervisor came together as a community of travelers. how harmonious to share this brief moment to not just stop but enjoy a well deserved break. it means something to know that there is a haven somewhere in this world to rest your feet for a while and you will be treated as part of something bigger than the sum of its customers. it is a fundamental human experience in the year of our Lord 2026 to enjoy a nice cruise on some of the most comfortable highways in the world to stop by one of the finest establishments in america. Buc-ee’s might be just a gas station but those with ears, let them hear.

one of the finest establishments of burlington VT. got the buffalo chicken and medicine wheel cheese pizza larges plus a blood orange mimosa. both are worth your time and money. but the cheese pizza is an absolute star, would be a killer if she lived in NYC. it’s the simplest fundamentals but executed so well, salty till seasoned but no more. beautiful herb accessories to an amazing experience fresh out the ovens in full view as you watch chefs work their magic. so much seating and square footage with a nice rustic wood and brick style. would definitely bring people here if there is a next time in burlington.

person i went with said the niku udon was best. the meat was really good but the soup tasted like beef jerky. would’ve like a little more herbs and veggies to join the conversation but still a good time. noodles fantastic as raku standard. tad over priced for soup and rice noodles, even for NYC standards. would only go back for a better reason next time. asahi hit

this place is good. very comparable to ktown LA in price and quality. but a stark lack of banchan made the whole experience feel a bit less inspired. i would imagine coming here for hangover/post drinks is the move. i have done what you asked JZ please let my family go now

this place was actually pretty nuts. drunken noodles plus 2 lil egg rolls for 16$ is a fantastic deal. their medium spicy is adjusted for white people so overall good balancing plus fresh veggies and nice soft pillowy noods. the sweet and sour sauce didnt overwhelm the egg rolls but the egg rolls were a bit unfortunately flavorless inside. the venue is rainforest themed, maybe a tiny bit overboard when the vines caress your head on the way to the bathroom. definitely will come again
