Might be the best barbecue you will have in Austin (which I know is a big statement). There will be a line because it is busy and must get there early before they run out of certain meats, but so worth the wait. They now have a Michelin star and really fairly priced. My favorite was the brisket

lil’ bro arrived in austin for F1 and we hit L&L on friday. leroy and lewis earned a michelin star last year when the guide first came to texas; one of 3 BBQ spots with that distinction. they also placed #2 in Texas Monthly’s statewide BBQ rankings this year. today I got fatty brisket, oktoberfest sausage, frito pie, and chori-papas. all were excellent. the crust on the brisket hit the spot and the sausage had good snap and flavor. frito pie here is one of my fav sides at any bbq spot. my one complaint is that I wish the food was kept slightly hotter since it cooled off quick once I brought it to my seat, but not sure if that is something that would mess with the quality. line was pretty long with about a 45 min wait on a friday around 1. expect that wait time during weekend peaks. will be back to try the burger which is also acclaimed. ($10 on monday)
