Great place, especially since it’s walking distance for me. However, the service is surprisingly casual for its modern and cool atmosphere. Incredibly popular on a Friday or Saturday night at prime time, so I recommend going in off hours. As for the dishes, a friend told me they thought the ramen broth was more on the oiler side, but my go to orders are the Brown Butter Miso Ramen (when in season) or the made-in-house Japanese Curry with Katsu Pork and Rice. They previously won the “Best Appetizer in SLC” for their whipped tofu dip, but I have only tried their gyoza and fried chicken appetizers. For dessert I tried their “Purin” which was like a Chinese black sugar syrup custard. It’s like a Japanese style flan, but the black sugar syrup has a nice umami burnt flavor to the whole dish that really elevates it.

We walked to this ramen place for dinner and it was so good! The whipped tofu was so flavorful and the mabo tofu was perfectly spicy. The ramen itself was super authentic and delicious. On another note the waitress was so nice and gave us such good recs!!
