This place is better than I remember and I love that the menu is completely different from what it was a year ago. The second dish was my least fave bc orange and gochujiang does not make sense. The flavor and cook on everything else was honestly veryyy solid. I’m sad that Connor and David didnt love Atomix. Any other restaurant recs for a dinner celebration?

Lovely Korean skewer-centric tasting menu, from the owners behind Mari/Mari.ne though this is the OG. The service was top notch, and the chef sent the truffle supplement and passionfruit dessert on the house, which was so sweet 🥹 Loved the celeriac soup starter with the potato and caviar fritter, the halibut (flaky and cooked to perfection, and the broth was an unexpectedly spicy, warm concoction that just warmed me up immediately), iberico pork, trout bibimbap (the $16 uni add-on is pretty worth! Adds a nice creamy texture to it), and all the desserts. The only ones that were misses were the hwe (just wish there was more flavor from the fish), wagyu (entirely too fatty - I actually had to send it away because I felt a bit sick eating all of that), and the octopus twigim (idk why, but the flavors and textures just weren’t my fave, and it was covered in fried flakes as well). Overall though, thought it was a nice spot for a special occasion.
