went to KG BBQ after Lift on friday evening.
KG is one of my favorite spots in austin; a top 3 meal i’ve had here is their rice bowls which have the perfect mix of tasty ingredients. saffron rice, tomato/cucumber, pomegranate seeds, onions, and of course the bbq meat. my favorite here is the lamb and brisket; today they were out of lamb so solely got brisket.
they have a variety of egyptian-inspired texas bbq meats; my favorite sides from them are the purple potato salad and the mac and cheese.
for just $5 more than a bowl at chipotle you can enjoy the best rice bowl austin has to offer. long live KG.
