This was bom (har har). But in all seriousness, this beautiful resto tucked behind Oiji Mi was pretty astounding, fusing hints of French, contemporary American, and Korean cuisine all into one. Probs closest resto it reminds me of is Jungsik, but less stuffy. The starters are always some of my fave courses at restos like these - decadent, creative and full of flair; these were seafood focused and extremely textural. Then we go into the king crab custard/broth dish that was divine; they were surprisingly generous with the crab. The next showstopper for me was the wet and dry aged ribeyes topped with Hokkaido uni and caviar imported from somewhere in Europe; the uni was sooooooo sweet and melted on the ribeye. Loved the trout roe and short rib dish as well, the meat was so fatty and tender and the roe cut through the richness with its bursts of flavor. The rice and banchan dish was just v homey, couldn’t get enough of the rice and seaweed combo tbh. The dessert was the only course I thought was a bit of a miss, but I think they were testing out a new dessert chef and changing things up a bit. All in all, def a red meat heavy spot, which admittedly isn’t my preferred ingredient, but they execute it so well that I’m intrigued enough to want to come back for more.
