Valentines dinner with spectacular company. Jaja closed down after a car tested the structural integrity of the place at about 100mph but they finally reopened. Long story short I would definitely stop by but here is the breakdown. Scallop crudo was good, the name is a bit deceptive and more of a tartare than a crudo but flavorful nonetheless. The potatoes are delicious I could eat two plates of these. The clams were cooked perfectly, could have used a slight addition of acidity on their own but it was perfect with the dipping bread so really a matter of preference. The delmonico was super delicious, great steak. Don’t bother with the tres leches if you’re used to authentic ones, the cheesecake is a complete banger tho.

"Forgot to post our first visit to Jaja’s, this was opening week. Aesthetically a nice place to visit, quality food. Buns are soft with a nice crust, paired well with the spread, potatoes were really excellent. Crispy shell with excellent garnishing. I forgot what exactly Belle got but the fish was perfectly cooked and the tomato consommé was delicious. The lechon was very surprising, it had an excellent acidity and was an explosion of flavor. The charred kale (I think) had an excellent texture and was seasoned super well. Meal was very flavorful and balanced, however, although it is not too salty, there is a lot of salt." - Walker
