my first tasting menu in a minute! solid tbh the experience was def interesting. it’s a pretty small space apparently it’s where chefs table at brooklyn fare used to be. a few of the dishes had elements where it was like im not sure if it’s better with it there? like the dessert at the end had slices of cheese in it? it was cute how intimate the space was and the chef would explain the dishes n stuff. i can’t get over the chairs tho it was so uncomfortable and there was nowhere to put our jackets 😭
Why did it smell like a Chinese fish market? Why did the man sitting next to me keep saying “absolute perfection” like he was trying to gaslight himself into liking it more? Why are we so cute?
The duck main was delish and there were a few banger apps but was there anything that made me go WOW? No.
The space was too tiny to be comfy and the chairs were straight up not good to sit in.
The service was great, and the chef was a cool guy, but you can do better for a tasting menu in New York
