haven’t had bbq in a while but my aunt gave me a gift card here so decided to check it out. located near the hill country, it’s got a pretty incredible view and we made it right in time for sunset which was awesome to watch. incredible vibes. prices were fair for bbq, ended up getting the 3 meat plate ($25) and a frozen marg ($12). brisket was okay, nothing special and not beating out most of the other spots i’ve had in austin. sausage was actually pretty good but still near the bottom end for BBQ. chicken was aight. tasted like chicken. mac and cheese was enjoyable and the fried okra was just okay. frozen was tasty but lost its consistency too quick. a mark of a good frozen is how long it is able to stay frozen. overall, not a bad meal and a decent spot. probably would recommend terry blacks or any of the other bbq spots closer to town before but if you want good ambiance and friendly service this place has it along with some acceptable food.

"daddy luke paid for me with gift cards for mid work lunch 🙏🔥 bread was really good but not great. had a nice sweetness to it that was not overwhelming burger, potato and salad were standard was not a fan of the mushrooms" - manny
