Every time you step foot into Jackson Heights, this has to be one of your first stops. When I crave the taste of home, fuschka is what soothes the soul. Crispy, light, and packed with flavor, one plate will leave you begging for more. Super proud of my Bangladeshi heritage, and this small food truck does an excellent job repping our favorite comfort street food! 10/10 every time.

My go to spot when I’m craving burrito bowls, crunch wraps, and tacos. Portion sizes are great and the food always tastes very fresh :)

This place is the definition of girlhood- flowers, sweet treats, and fun drinks. I got the strawberry matcha and it was pretty great. I’m always down to go somewhere aesthetic and would definitely recommend for a cute brunch!

I love my lattes in the morning, and this place was a sweet stop near my train station. They offer a small selection of fresh pastries and have quite a few breakfast options to accompany your drinks. I love that there’s plenty of natural lighting through their glass walls. There’s also a lot of space to sit and eat, or get some work done before heading to class. If you’re a regular, they also offer a rewards program through Toast Lab. Would highly recommend.

This was a small sushi bar, with ample seating for groups. The booths were tucked away from the main entrance, making it a more cozy experience paired with the soft lighting. The staff and ambience were both lovely. The fish was very fresh, and sushi quality was amazing. I got the spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll, and both were delicious. If you’re willing to drop a pretty penny to satisfy your sushi cravings, I would recommend.

Everyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Thai food, and this is one of the best in the city (yes there are better places 🫣). The ambience is great, and the staff at this location is much better than at the Carmine location. The food is pricey, but it’s worth it if you go with a bunch of friends- family style is the way to go if you want to try as many dishes as you can. If you need a comforting meal, this is the spot. One thing I will say is that they do have a strong tipping culture, so go visit bearing that in mind.

We went an hour before closing, and a large group came in after us, so it took a while before our drinks were ready, even though we had ordered first. The staff kindly treated us to complimentary samosas to thank us for the long wait. They were definitely the highlight- the dough was crispy and the filling was well seasoned, making for a great quick bite. Unfortunately, the drinks were not best, so I won’t recommend them. However, the ambience was lovely, and during quiet hours, it seems like a great place to study.

I literally come here just for Mango Matcha and Adeni Chai- they cannot be beat, 10/10 no notes. The honeycomb bread is a classic, albeit a bit pricey (like the rest of their desserts), but it’s worth a try if you’ve never had it before.
