italian spot in (can you guess?) little italy! i went here on a dinner date and the food was great. nothing too fancy, but super filling for both me and my boyfriend! everything can be shared! service is good and i would recommend making a reservation if you’re planning on visiting during dinner or busy meal hours. there is a 3% surcharge for credit card payments so bring cash!

cute little brunch place near penn station! no reservations are taken so oftentimes the wait time might be awhile if you’re visiting during peak hours. despite that, the line does move fast and if you’re a smaller party, you’re likely to be seated faster! you’re given the menu while waiting in line, so ordering can be quick and smooth once you’re seated! honestly, the food was good, but it was pretty overpriced for what the actual food was (basically a gentrified bacon egg and cheese). the matcha latte was so sweet and i couldn’t taste the matcha, but the mocha latte was very tasty according to my boyfriend! portions are on the smaller side as well, but overall, it is a very instagram-able place that i’m glad i visited once. 😊

a yummy ramen place in ktown! i walked in without a reservation on a weekend and was seated right away. the service is great and quick—the food came out quite fast despite how many people there were. the skewers were delicious as was the ramen! the noodles were the perfect texture to me and the broth was seasoned just right. the tables can be small if you’re a party of 2 so keep that in mind if you plan to order a lot of food (i’m sure you could ask for apps to be brought out first too!).

cute little cafe that’s dog friendly! even without a dog, you can enter the play area to interact with them/talk to their owners. the barista i usually see is so lovely and polite! i’ve gone back here several times now to try the different matcha lattes after work! they also have a rewards system, so if you get 10 stamps, you can get a free drink!

good seafood place in quincy, ma! our server was so lovely and personable. the food was pretty good as well—the clam chowder was a little bit salty and the onion bloom didn’t quite bloom, but it still tasted pretty yum. there was a particular smell in the restaurant that took some getting used to, but it was alright after awhile. the menu includes asian influenced dishes as well as seafood! not too many vegetarian options besides the veggie stir fry, unfortunately.

a small taquería on broome st i went to after a concert at bowery ballroom! we got three tacos each ($5/per) and a jarritos (best soda ever btw). everything was so filling and absolutely delicious!

a taiwanese noodle house that always serves delicious food! whether ordering delivery or eating in, the noodles never disappoint. i love to get my noodles with soup (this picture is N7 on the menu!). the “dry” noodles option is not entirely dry, it’s just less soup, so keep that in mind if you’re expecting no soup at all! seating can fill up quickly during lunch/dinner time so come earlier or later to grab a spot!

a great spot to go to in midtown for ramen! the ambience is great and service is quick. food is delicious and the mango shaved ice is a perfect way to end a meal! the dish portion is perfect for one but the shaved ice is quite large, so i recommend to share btwn four people or else you might get super full 😅. it can get really crowded so definitely reserve a table in advance!

amazing spot for a dinner date! the ambience and set up is so nice and despite being crowded, you can still have conversation without raising your voice too much. the pad see ew is delicious and always a dish to have when getting thai food! the kaeng hung lay was also tasty, especially with rice :) since it can get pretty crowded, i would definitely reserve a table in advance 😊

if you like copious amounts of pastrami and dijon mustard this is definitely the place for you! i went here after clubbing and i was unfortunately disappointed after hearing good things about katz (and also seeing the lines during their peak hours!) the sandwich is quite dry, despite the dijon mustard, and the pastrami is so overpowering. the pickle as a side was yummy though :’) the place itself is pretty nice and there’s a water station you can fill cups up at towards the back. note that the sandwich is quite expensive, but it is large so you somewhat get your moneys worth (but again, only if you really like pastrami and dijon mustard).
