Woohoo, finally a spot that I would go back to without hesitation in Breck 🥹 Same chef as Radiccato (James Beard award winner, and a resto I was sorely disappointed by 🥲), BUT this one made me believe in the award system again, kinda.
Feels like you’re dining in someone’s house, so the vibe was extra cozy/homey. The tartare with bone marrow butter and fried maitake mushrooms on milk bread toast was to die for - full of textures and taste. The mushroom and braised short rib mafaldine was also incredible - pasta cooked al dente with a perfectly rich creaminess to it (note: not going to be for those with an aversion to mushrooms - I’m looking at you @daavidkim). The lamb was decent, cooked medium rare, but it felt less special than the other two dishes.
Will say that the chef is a bit generous with salt, but generally wasn’t overpowering even for someone like me who tends to be more sensitive 🥹👉🏼👈🏼
