Vibey resto by the same chef behind Estela, so you KNOW it’s about to blow your socks off. Incredibly euro-asian chic, if I had to describe it in one phrase. The tl;dr is that this would be a fantastic date spot/small group dinner - incredibly intimate with upbeat music playing in the background; not so crowded that you’re sitting right on top of one another, but close enough that you’re feeling the energy of the tables next to you. You’re better off sharing a bunch of the small plates because that’s where I think they truly shine. The Uni custard was PHENOM - the shrimp paste + uni + savory custard started our meal on a high note. The Comte tart with truffle + mushroom was rich & lovely; eating it was like sitting down in that old worn out couch you love - I know you’re picturing smthg right now - safe, warm and pillowy. The sardine toast was a bit too salty & oily for me, but made for a beautiful photo. The king crab was also a tad fussy - def can skip imo. The sweetbread main was divine - perfectly tender & flavorful, with a bunch of sauces and sides to dress each bite up even more. The duck was lowkey disappointing - way too salty, but the duck leg sausage was incredibly tender, nearly saved the dish honestly, but not quite. Of the two desserts we got, the hazelnut tart was my fave! Would want to try the eel dumplings and tuna app next time. Overall, would love to come back; great spot for a special night out.
