honestly it’s a hit or miss with ruby’s. can’t deny that their shrimp pasta is bad though, it’s pretty good alongside their truffle fries. there’s some dishes where if you take a lot of bites in a short amount of time, the taste sorta makes you nauseous. i had that experience with the pesto pasta, but it was still pretty damn good.
i prefer the east village location simply because it’s less busy but sometimes you’ll catch me at the soho one! also,
service is good, bustling atmosphere, the type where you catch up with your friends after a long year, that type of vibe. but in my opinion, you’ll find better prices in the city for even better pasta like fumo (review for that coming asap)!! though for ruby’s, i’d rate it a solid 7/10.
