Squire’s Diner is so good!! If you want an authentic diner experience with fresh home fries, amazing smoothies, and great prices, this is the place to be! The prices alone make this place worth it, but with a kind staff and great food, it’s all you can ask for in an expensive city! Must try if you love breakfast foods

All you can eat for 2 hours, The best Korean BBQ self cook spot in the city! The Honey Soy beef belly, Bulgogi, and Steak are a recurring favorite for my friends and I! This is our celebration spot as it is affordable, has lots of fun drink options, and you never leave feeling like you haven’t had enough! The sides aren’t extra, the dumplings and rice sticks are the perfect appetizer! Plus it’s right by Trader Joe’s, so it’s awesome lol

This is THE cafe to go to in the Little Haiti area, with specialties like Kremas Matcha, Candy bar hot chocolate, and the best coffee. I tried the waffles for the first time a while back and they were so good I got the same order the next week! The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, and nothing was too sweet, my favorite spot in the area!🫶

Even though it’s called Mad for Chicken, this is one of if not THE best seafood boil spots in Astoria. I’m from the south and it rivals the seafood boils I grew up with, the signature sauce at medium heat is the perfect sauce for a boil, the potatoes are always perfectly soft on the inside with a bite on the outside, and the shrimp and crab legs are amazing!! If you drink, the Lychee Martini is a perfect pair to any of their food, sweet and tart! I have visited many times and will continue to!

Retro Pizza is my favorite pizza shop in the area! The individual slices are creative, crispy on bottom, and bursting with flavor! Their Burrata slice is my favorite, but they also have Pico De Gallo, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and other creative slices that are equally delicious. Don’t skip out on the pasta or wings either! Huge portions for an amazing price, and a very kind store owner. House made garlic knots with a bit of hot honey on top are a must-try!!
