the rare Molly Tea flop. their seasonal tongmu lapsang (smoky black tea) drinks were very disappointing. the milk tea with cheese foam was actually too cheesy, it was like drinking sour cream. the non cheese foam version just tasted like … regular milk tea. I wish I got the mango smoothie or the usual floral teas, this was so disappointing

Got west lake beef soup, mooshu pork, and chengdu wontons. Their chili oil has such a nice smoky depth of flavor!!! Minus points because it appears they haven’t updated their restaurant playlist since 2014 and I could NOT stand listening to Dark Horse by Katy Perry while eating dinner, I’m sorry.

went at 11am on a Monday and was definitely their first customer of the day. major chungus moment ngl. got a half scoop each of this season’s pumpkin bread flavor and the porter bread pudding flavor from last season. (I think I just like bread.) it was so good tho, I miss you salt and straw 💔 come to the Midwest pls 💔💔💔
