very solid soondae guk in an unsuspecting location. always went to pho ba co next door but this is definitely a hidden gem. totally expected the soondae to get soggy and bland but it was the highlight of the meal, shining through the rich broth, standing on its own without added salt or shrimp brine. did not expect the radish kimchi to be so good, perfectly fermented and soft for that contrast on top of rice. will definitely return for another bowl. So What: this is a monument to traditional heartwarming korean cuisine and you’ll understand from the first step inside its humble interior. it’s only business being a masterclass presentation of korean offal with no more than the simple bells and whistles for a well rounded experience.
