pretty good experience but still expensive at 40$ for standard menu. the marinated meats was better than expected like the spicy chadol and the joo mu luk had good texture and flavor. not homophobic but the ram ranch flavor was a bit too much. despite the robots running around, the staff still came to check on us plenty of times which was nice. no complimentary ice cream or drinks was a smidge disappointing but not a big deal. the banchan was hitting some interesting notes. rice paper plus pink radish was comforting to see. cucumber and regular kimchi, solid solid. loved to see the onion cilantro combo: if you can’t handle this kind of flavor your bloodline is weak and gtfo the club.
So What: if shik is the high schooler drinking soju from a plastic bottle in the parking lot, all that is the mid 20s getting into rock climbing/pickleball/run clubs, baekjong is the local c list celebrity that doesn’t let you get a word in, then ican is the left liberal with colored hair with grandiose ideas to accommodate everybody without figuring out who’s gonna pay for it all. worth hearing out, really inconsistent between customers on who’s coming back
