yummm i loveee katsu curry and this was def one of the best i have had in NYC so far. the curry was smooth and savory. the chicken was very crispy and a great portion! (no skimping on meats here) simple but delicious. the restaurant had a great vibe as well, pretty spacey, cute design too!!

beautiful interior and vibe! low lights, a dance floor, disco ball, modern decor, lots of space, by the water. the food was okay for the price. the birria tacos were a bit off tasting and somehow didn’t taste remotely close to birria? also it was a make your own taco thing which i would’ve preferred if they made the tacos themselves and seared the tacos in the process. my tortillas were breaking and getting soggy quickly :( the churros were a great dessert though! delicious dipping sauces and crispy, throughly rolled in cinnamon sugar

pandan toast hits every time omg. the toast stays crisp and the jam is sweet but not overpowering. wish the portion was bigger, next time i might buy 2 🤤 on the other hand, the thai tea was pretty bitter :(

highk became a go-to friday night dinner spot for my and my boyfriend bc of the late night environment of the restaurant. although it’s cramped, everyone chatting, drinking beer and enjoying food makes the place feel really fun. the food was good. the portions are kinda big so most things could be shared. the cheesy potato is def the best thing on the menu!!! great selection of japanese beers too 🍻

lowk was trying to gatekeep this place but it’s too good. the ramen broth is incredibly flavorful, eggs cooked with jelly yolk in the middle, meat is tender! me and my boyfriend split the mega koku ramen which is only $26! it was plenty for us (and we both eat a lot) it comes with 3 different types of meat!! incredible deal for 2

the pan fried pork buns are insaneeee so much flavor and the texture is perfect. soft at the top and a fried bottom to add crunch. dipped in the chili oil and it’s delicious. the soup dumplings are good as well. the taro buns were also very tasty!

highk overrated asf ☹️ the chicken was good and stayed crispy however the star of the show~ Curry, felt weak asf… it was lacking flavor, spices etc. we da had to ask them for salt and they looked at us crazy.. also pretty pricey here but the portion was big enough to split. really cramped and over stimulating

awesome vibe! they were playing spider man (tobey maguire), lights were dim, we were on the second floor which gave us a better view and lowk a private area. server was very attentive, we got a great deal for a full 3 course + drinks. authentic japanese 😋
