Salt Hank’s

10.0
In NYC, there are a lot of people waiting in lines for random things. Yogurt, BCD Tofu House, or Apollo’s Bagels. I normally question those people waiting in line for a “speciality” item, but I do say Salt Hank’s is worth the line. IT’S SOOO GOOD. As someone who loves French dip sandwiches, I can confidently say that salt hanks has the best. The portions are excellent given the price. The meat and au jus dip are both rich in flavor without being salty. I might not order the “fries” next time. They were fine but not necessarily. The sandwich is where it is at. Never order this for take out. Bring a friend. Wait in the line. Eat the sandwich. [9.4/10]

Traveling to LIC just to have GULP is definitely a monthly ritual to me. I usually order togo/delivery. I recently had the opportunity to sit in and eat, and MY GOD it’s 10x better when sitting in to eat. Everything is much fresher, and they offer free (or $3) noodle refills depending on the dish. I had the 牛肉面 because I was feeling under the weather that day, but I think their braised dry noodle is the best thing on the menu. The combo set menu is definitely the play, and I would recommend this to anybody that is craving a Taiwanese home cooked meal… or is really really hungry [9.1/10]

NUBIANI

Nubiani is soooo goood. People call it a Cote dupe, and I would agree. The meat quality is SLIGHTLY lower than Cote, but I would argue that the banchan is just as good -maybe even better- as Cote’s. The value is also excellent. If I were going again or recommending Nubiani to other people, I would suggest sticking to the meat packages and adding an additional side meat. I wouldn’t mess with the “non-meat” entrees. I don’t think those are worth it. Besides that, Nubiani is definitely worth its price; dare I say it’s the best KBBQ in NYC(?) [9.1/10]

Danny & Coop’s Cheesesteaks

Bradley Cooper’s Philly cheese steak is incredibly mid. I appreciate that the food is hot and appears to be freshly made, but the meat itself didn’t taste as good as I thought it would. Also, in my opinion, the side peppers are cut too big. If I eat a huge ass pepper and a bite of my sandwich, the pepper will be too overwhelming. I think this place is nice to have once… maybe twice. Mimi's Frozen Yogurt

Mimi’s lived up to all the hype. The yogurt was good, but the toppings were insane. Mango boba, pistachio cream sauce, and mochi were all sooo good. There were a lot more options that I didn’t get to try, so I’m excited to go back. My one critique would be the yogurt itself. There were only 8 options, and I think half of them were mid. I personally like the yogurt from culture better, so we shall see. [8.2/10]
