i’ve been meaning to try this place for soooo long and i finally got to visit!! the interior is so cute, i love the bright teal color everywhere. food was delicious, i’m not usually an eggs benedict person but this was so good. no complaints on my iced latte but ingrid says matcha is not good. anyway definitely make a res if you want to come in for a weekend brunch because it gets busyyy

i have been here quite a few times over the years and the food is always reliable and good! everything is pretty carb-heavy so prepare yourself. they have great happy hour deals and they were not busy on a friday night so i will be returning.

nice natural light that comes into this cafe, and outdoor seating is nice. must add an extra shot of espresso in their latte, otherwise the drink is majority milk. subbed beans for tomatoes and added avocado to my breakfast bowl and it was delish! their fries are yummy as well. i’ve had the blat here before and it was not worth how much they charge for it so i’d say avoid that. i will say this spot a bit overpriced butttt i used to live in nyc.

i’ve been here a few times so let me share with you what my original review was vs my updated review from my most recent visit. og: this place is so good genuinely. cool ambiance too. great for a casual dinner. the a choy here is a musttt. also love the location—can end the day by visiting neofuns arcade or grabbing heytea after your meal. we did both and it was vibes. updated: so we waited 45 minutes for our food and half of our dishes didn’t arrive. we reminded the wait staff 3 separate times and all tables who were seated after us received their food. they literally did not care :D and while i want to give them the benefit of the doubt, this definitely felt discriminatory because we were the only non-chinese table in the entirety of this huge restaurant (we had 1 ethnically ambiguous/white passing wasian who was indeed chinese). also the arcade closed down which was sad. really disappointed because i loved hong kong cafe </3

walk-in only as you order first and then find a seat. water, plates, utensils, napkins, etc. all self serve. food comes out suuuper quickly. and everything was SO GOOD! if you get the sesame noodles (which you should), adding chicken as a must. absolutely no complaints on spicy wontons. the french toast was sweet, creamy, and had that crunchy texture from the exterior. but it didn’t feel too heavy which was great. out of everything we got, i’d say you can skip out on the braised pork belly rice. nothing really special and the dish is 80% rice anyway. i also got the hong kong milk tea and that was good as well. i had been meaning to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! save yourself the long wait and go on a weeknight

in n out drive thru line was sooooo long so we opted for wendy’s. a good decision bc i was so hungry. this meal felt like a fever dream. there was a couple hogging up the bathroom for like 30 minutes and vomit in the sink once they left :D hope they are okay…
