"i had very high hopes, but this spot is overrated. very much feels as if it’s catering to a more gentrified palette & is lacking that vietnamese funk that i love in a traditional bahn mi. the bread isn’t as light as it should be, either. it tastes good and all— the bbq pork has a delicious sweet glaze & is cooked well, but it’s just not what i’m looking for out of this kind of sandwich. you can get better ones for much less if you know where to look" - lucas
