Top dishes in order: Dan Dan noodles, Fei-hong fries, wontons in chili oil, and sweet sour ribs
I’ve only ever had thick sesame/peanut-y Dan Dan sauces before. This one was slightly acidic and salty and reminded me of this dry braised pork noodle dish I love in taiwan 😋 Also randomly came with pea shoots which is a top tier veggie. Highlight was getting to hear @b review and compare it to his number 1 in the city. If you haven’t read and bookmarked his review, DO IT NOW.
Chili wontons were standard but how could you go wrong.
I wish we could’ve kept the chili oil sauce for some of the entrees (NO SRIRACHA CONNOR)
Fries had a light crisp to them — maybe wish they were a tad spicier. But texture was near perfect
Crab tofu needed more seasoning. I don’t get the hype around this dish. I forgot about the fried rice. Fish maybe could’ve been a bittt more seasoned but I was less upset about it — pretty standard steamed fish. Would probably opt for the fish blossom if I go again.
Got the suntory story drink. a fan! Light and subtly sour
