Had some tummy issues so this was the first thing I ate today besides a roll of ritz crackers and some melon Mira got me, but despite that it was pretty good. The short rib with fresh flour tortillas was delicious, while the caesar salad with sardines and the tlayuda with huitlacoche were both fine. Shrimp taco was interesting but ultimately a bit of a miss. Tummy is holding on okay afterward.

we went to the Paris location and were very very happy to see one right by our hotel here. it hit the spot because we were ferally hungry after our castillo de chapultepec day. but inconsistent in the steak doneness and fry crispiness, def a bit worse than Paris. that’s literally the only thing paris has on cdmx like totally and completely.

The shrimp tostadas were where it’s at — the minced shrimp and mayo and spices were perfect— the tuna tostadas (more famous) are a skip imo. Nothing exceptional and the mediocrity of the underlying toast really shines through. Got the clam pasta — good flavors and pasta wasn’t overcooked despite being angel hair 🚩 Galician octopus was solid — if you like octopus get it, if not w/e Lots of folks around us where getting the whole fish of the day. Seems worth it if you’re in a group of 4 plus. Would be happy to go back but won’t seek it out

CDMX babyyyy!! the bike food tour was so good per Aman and Nancy and our itinerary is stacked with recs from Mahesh here we had the ocho crema and ham and manchego croissant. ocho crema was like crème brûlée in a cronut (never tried but i’d guess) and ham and cheese was nothing creative but just perfect. i’m not a big bakery person but these were stupid good.

After crushing the blue team in the first game of paintball (while down one man) we went chick fil a. There is nothing better than chick fil an after paintball in the rain. oj stole my sandwich but that’s ok. Also this pretzel bun sandwich was really really good. After this we went and raced in a cornmaze then we won a round of knockout. What an incredible Olympics day! Happy olympics!

I learned this morning that I guess everyone like this place a lot more than me. It reminded of Italy where they take 3 ingredients and feed you a lot of them. Quite boring pretty quickly 😭 also it just wasn’t very good. I had higher expectations because I’m not a costal elite. We tried sitting outside but it was too cold. None of them will give their likeness to sora which is very sad 😭 I wasn’t a huge fan but it was fine and filling, also a good vibe!
