went here w family to celebrate, it was a big party but they found us a table pretty quickly. all the food was delicious, for an appetizer we had chicken causa and a ceviche dish i didn’t try but my dad really liked. three people at the table got lomo saltado and all really enjoyed it. i got the chicharron de pescado, perfectly fluffy fried fish with fried yuca and tartar sauce. the batter was nice and crisp without being oily or thick and it was topped with pico and onions that i think were soaked in lemon juice. would say the yuca was kinda dry. also had some of my aunt’s tacu tacu (which i will be trying to remake at home) and a passionfruit juice that i liked but personally could skip next time. dish prices range for 12-20s but for 17 they gave me so much fish i had enough leftovers for a second meal after giving some away

got this hefty pulled pork sandwich w carrot slaw and berber aioli from the flavors on the ave food festival 🤤 it was messy, super flavorful and moist, the bread was soft. i wish there had been more carrots tbh but no meat was left behind in the end and it carried me through a long day of walking

not the best pics but it was yum! been wanting to try mango mango for a while. i should’ve eaten the black sesame rice ball soup before the mango crepe bc the sweetness of the mango crepe made the hot soup taste more bitter over time, i like black sesame but it was a lot. the crepe was delicious, the mango was juicy and sweet and the whipped cream was super light and only had the slightest waxy feel after eating. it didn’t cut very well/mangled the actual crepe so i only cut them in half and then picked the pieces up with my hand (it got messy so id say eat quick) spent like $7/8 per dessert i think?

delicious and great quality fish. went with a friend and split calamari and 3 rolls which came with miso soup. we got the spicy tuna roll, jefferson roll and manhattan roll. server was friendly and attentive. he did see me eat shit tripping over a step on the way to the bathroom but was nice about it

got a cashew rose lemon bar and a ginger turmeric latte, the latte was very strong on the ginger but warming since it was so cold out, and the lemon bar balanced it nicely. i loved the creamy texture with the light lemon flavor, the shortbread crust was perfect and i loved that it was gluten free as well as vegan. i also wanted to try the chickpea brownie or take another lemon bar to go but we were walking a lot today so i didn’t want to bring it in my bag. ill be honest i still don’t understand if the price per person is for the total of what i spent or the avg of what each item there costs. i spent $6 on the bar $6 on the latte i think

got bun thit nuong cha gio and a vegetable fried rice, both were very flavorful and filling for me and my friend who shared both dishes. service was great and workers super friendly.
