(Old visit to keep my streak, from January 2025) My best friend and I went here while on a trip to NYC together. I’d seen this place on Instagram and my sister recommended we go. Restaurants with quick, no-frills service are almost always gonna give you the best food and this was no exception. I got tacos and she got a fried quesadilla. I’m something of a horchata connoisseur and this was 👌👌👌. I neeeeeeed to go back so badly

(Old visit to keep my streak) Mr and Mrs Crab will NEVER let me down. Every year we go here for my sister’s birthday and I gorge myself while she hijacks their TouchTunes. We don’t play about seafood boils, we bring our own disposable gloves each time. I hope the waitress that suggested getting hush puppies and soaking them in the juice in the bottom of the bag YEARSSSSS ago is having a terrific life.

ik this does not look pretty but it was delish. we got the rose topoki mild spice w extra cheese on it ($2.45 more🤬) to share and it was enough to split between 2 ppl was not as spicy as i was expecting which is a good thing bc im white!! the flavor was so good and the rice cakes were cooked perfectly

Getting a sugar rush before Universal Knights. Morgan got a ridiculously jam-filled PB&J donut, I got a coconut cream pie donut, and Erin got the Mardi Gras themed donut filled with a YUMMYYYYY praline pecan cream filling.

Breakfast after staying the night in Jacksonville. This is a café connected to a massive bookstore. The staff were super friendly, everything was really cheaply priced, and they played great music the whole time. The matcha I got was made with oat milk and strawberry cold foam, and I ordered it off of a staff-curated recommended menu. The matcha was too watered down for my preference (maybe that could’ve been prevented if I got it hot but whatever) but the cold foam was TASTYYYYYY. I got a wrap with jerk seasoned tempeh and veggies in a tomato basil wrap bcus I love tempeh but don’t see it offered at too many places and I’m happy to announce that it didn’t disappoint!! My mom got herself coffee, a really fluffy egg and cheese bagel sandwich, and cheese grits. We also got some good chocolate chip cookies for a dollar each. We then spent about 3 hours just browsing the store’s first floor LMAO

My mom and I took a weekend trip to Jacksonville to go see Nine Inch Nails and got dinner here before the concert. The drinks were tasty and strong. We started with Korean fried broccoli in a gochujang vinaigrette and these were great, but the portion was soooo small and I wanted more :( I got a tasty shrimp po boy with fries (they called them shoestrings but I think they’re too big to be called that but whatever) for my entree. We took advantage of the weather being so nice and ate on their patio. My only complaint is that service was suuuuuper slow and I kinda started getting nervous about finishing and making it to the arena on time, but the whole area here didn’t seem prepared for how many people this concert was gonna attract lol Tbh it didn’t seem like there was much to do in downtown Jacksonville, especially within walking distance of our hotel and the arena, but I’m glad I found this place :)

My family’s go-to Local Chinese Restaurant™. It’s not anything unique (although they’ve stepped their game up and expanded their menu recently) but it’s ~10 minutes away, it’s always good, we’ve been going here for as long as I can remember, and the staff are lovely ❤️ Pictured here is crab rangoon (not my favorite shape bcus you get the empty corners but whateva), edamame, philly roll, king kong roll (the most expensive cooked roll on the menu that my mom insisted we get), and house chow ho fun.
