Just like Ines, I also got 0 photos but whew my dinner here was bomb. I got a passion fruit lemonade (which was super fresh and very much needed in early July) and the poke bowl. I like poke and raw seafood but can be very finicky about it but the fish I had here was of excellent quality. It’s a small place that fills up fast but the atmosphere, price, and quality make it worth the (possible) wait for a table!

amusing that i got a picture of the ceiling and not my food. just trust me. i got a lemon cilantro sushi roll & a mango soda and it was #yum

I LOVE FRIENDS’ HOUSE! The first time I ever went here was last year with my two friends after a music gig we worked and we came to convoy for dinner. It was a Saturday night, POURING RAIN, and we could not get a table at any of the 4 restaurants we tried. We saw this magical spot across the street and went to ask for a table. They seated us right away and served us hot corn tea. The food was excellent, I had the spicy seafood tofu soup and lots of bonchon. I’ve been back a bunch of times and eaten my way through their seafood options– the spicy squid plate and seafood udon are also fantastic. The food is great, prices are reasonable, parking is 10% less difficult than in the rest of Convoy, and the staff here is positively lovely! They call it Friends House because you will want to take all your friends here :)

Is this uber-authentic Chinese cuisine? No, but it’s delicious! Definitely on the pricier side but justified by the large portions and sweet vibe. A little difficult (depending on the menu rotation) to find things for non-meat eaters but for all my pescatarians out there, I highly recommend their lo mein with shrimp and the honey walnut shrimp! Bonus that every drink I’ve had here has been great.
