checked out vic and al’s this week; cajun spot I have heard good things about. overall, very nice decor. however, two of my pet peeves at a sit down restaurant: having to go up to order food and drinks (at separate areas too) and being seated at a picnic table (no seat back). I think the prices they charge here justify a little nicer of an experience. the food was acceptable: I got the shrimp and grits which was okay but def not something I would normally order. I was feeling adventurous so if I was a fan of this dish I would have liked it better. chicken and greens were very good but only tried some of that. meant to try the beignets so may come back for that. other than that tho, not particularly outstanding.
