moseyed over here after sour duck brunch.
line moved very quick and prices were relatively fair. I think this would be a fun spot to go with a significant other but manny will have to suffice for now.
we split the pink cake, choco cherry coco vanilla cake, and an alfajor
pink cake was dense yet moist which was very enjoyable, not overpoweringly sweet.
choco-cherry had a little too much going on; I am not a big chocolate fan so this was my least favorite but still well done.
alfajor filling was excellent; normally I am not a huge fan and think they are too dry (apologies to the peruvian side of my family) but this one had sweet filling and crumbly yet tasty cookie.
I would def go back and maybe try some of the savory stuff on the menu.
place is so interesting. still don’t understand it yet.
they politely asked we don’t take pics of the staff but there were people slaving away inside making empanadas non stop while people are forced in a 4x4 ft space to order and expected to ignore all the operations going around
luke came for the pink cake. gave me some, pretty solid/thicc and not as sweet as it looks.
i got the chocolate cake and the peruvian cookie.
i’ve had this type of cookie before and this place has done it the best.
chocolate cake was also really good. i like how they are not overly sweet like most cakes.
