I was craving some dumplings in LA and found this restaurant on TikTok, but they were lowkey just mid. got three different kinds: steamed, boiled and fried. Their special fried hui tou ones were the best of the three, and I’d get those again; but the steamed xiao long baos and three flavored dumplings didn’t have much flavor. I felt like I needed to drench them in vinegar or chili flakes to add something…I just felt like I had better. they do give a massive portion: so extra points for that 👏

"first meal back in civilization after spending the weekend in sequoia. I got the pork and shrimp dumplings which were solid. the broth was pretty good and the dumplings were tasty. i’ve def had better though. scallion pancake was interesting. very fried. like almost too much. felt like fried dough from a fair. tasted good but I feel like I may have lost a year off my life from eating these based on the amount of oil that much have been used. not a bad lil spot. not sure I would go out of my way to return tho." - luke
