Went to the MGM Resort and Casino to meet friends for cocktails and appetizers before our concert. Walked around looking for a place where we could get both, drinks and food. No luck, the place was packed with cowboys visiting for the National Finals Rodeo. We settled on this place for just drinks.
It too was packed, rodeo playing on every tv screen, but we found a sweet cowgirl and her cowboy 🤠 who kindly agreed to share their 4 top with the 4 of us.
I had planned to order a fruity mock tail, but surrounded by cowboys I felt the pressure to order something more manly. (I’m weak, I know) So I ordered an old fashioned. I was expecting a subtle sweetness with the scent of orange peel on my first sip. I got neither. Instead, my throat burned and I felt like I was growing hair on my chest.🥺 It was the strongest drink ever. I’m one sip in and out $24, but I’m not a quitter. I think about ordering a club soda to water it down, but my brilliant husband suggests a coke. Now my drink is $32 and I only have time to drink half of it so we’re not late to the show.🤦🏻♀️ I’m not even sure I learned any sort of lesson here. 🥃😜
