Tried Pool Burger with Adi and Jibraan on a Thursday 🌴🍔✨
Quick clarification: we were playing pool next door at Deep Betty Cabaret 🎱🍸 — the pool tables are not part of Pool Burger.
Vibes first: the place is very cool — beachy, tiki-bar energy 🌊🍹. Fun spot to hang and grab food before doing something else.
Food… mixed feelings.
If I’m paying $11–$15 for a basic cheeseburger, there better be fries 🍟❌. There were none. Fries were $4 extra. FOUR. DOLLARS. For potatoes 🥔💸. I tried one of Adi’s — they were good (crinkle cut, respectable), but still… come on.
I ordered the Pool Cheeseburger 🍔 because if you’re at Pool Burger, you try the burger, right?
Yeah… mid 😐.
Not bad. Just not special. Didn’t taste much better than P. Terry’s, which costs like $4–$5. I’m choosing P. Terry’s every time 🐮🏆. One plus: no mustard (rare, appreciated). But overall? Very forgettable.
Adi also recommended the chips, guac, and jalapeño pimento cheese 🥑🧀 — also mid. Chips a little overcooked, guac was fine, and the “jalapeño” pimento cheese barely had any heat. Mostly just cold, wet cheese vibes 🥶🧀.
Jibraan hypes this place like it’s elite 🌍📢. I was… underwhelmed.
Final take:
Vibes = strong ✅
Value = questionable ❌
Basic cheeseburger = never again 🚫🍔
Apparently the specialty burgers are what you’re supposed to get, so I might come back for those. But the standard cheeseburger? Hard pass.
