"ended up with a rare second day in office without packing lunch (my go to is poke house but I already went the day before) so ventured out to hit meat and bread. I have been here a good amount and am always very satisfied with their sandwiches. all of the ones i’ve tried use quality ingredients and bread and have minimal fluff. today, I got the porchetta which is their signature ‘wich. tasted great; one thing I noticed is the crackling they normally put in seems to be more cut up than usual. I think I preferred it the way it used to be; gave it more of a crunch. still the sandwich was phenomenal and the mustard and sambal pair well with the sandwich for an excellent flavor profile. price wise it’s a lil expensive at just over $15; however I do think the quality is there and it is located downtown so I don’t hold that against them much. serving size is enough for me to be content with my meal. if they still have the eggplant parm on the menu I look forward to trying that." - luke
