a long awaited return to a classic luke spot.
the winter I first moved to austin, I went to tatsu ya atleast monthly (and sometimes more frequently). fairly priced, tasty, and perfect for solo dining. while some say the best days of tatsu ya are behind it (before the commercialization and expansion to become a local chain), I still stand by their ramen as one of the best in austin.
the broth is phenomenal, pork is unmatched (even outside of austin imo), and the menma and tofu are must get toppings.
aesthetic is also really cool inside. maybe not the most traditional spot but my taste buds approve 👅
