ohh le calamar.
how I would have loved to keep you at a 9.6.
went on monday for some dealmaxxing.
I had an expiring inkind offer for $25 off and on monday’s they recently started $30 steak frites + manhattan.
last time I was here the frites were the star.
best I have ever had. 100th percentile fries.
not sure what happened but they have been significantly nerfed and I must make the taste community aware. i’d still put them as good fries, but closer to 75-80th percentile.
they are noticeably darker and thinner so I think it’s a new preparation technique as opposed to just an off day unfortunately.
I think I commented on this last time but the steak here is a bit too rare for my liking. borderline blue. the outside has a nice crust and the flavor is excellent (especially for the price on monday) but it’s overly chewy in my opinion due to the way they prepare it.
I enjoyed my meal and I think it’s a fair price for a monday deal; however don’t except the best fries of your life. me and manny may have struck gold that time.
