sunday evening I landed at JFK with a empty stomach. confronted with a $200 uber home, I decided to audible and take the train back. while on the way to grand central, I realized my older brother was at the knicks game finishing up so we decided to link at a spot for dinner before heading back to stamford. I reached out to the biggest nyc foodie I know (s/o chloe) for a rec and she did not disappoint. she sent me here and recommended the galbi jjim. we also got the spicy pork bibimbap along with the mandu. banchan here was elite and best I have had. all 5 were super tasty and each in their own way. the tofu here is homemade which you can def tell. bibimbap was very good and the mix of ingredients was solid with nothing out of place or off-ratio. galbi jjim was the standout dish and truly elite. flavorful, meat melted in my mouth. braised beef might be one of my favorite dishes and this version of it was top notch. tteokbokki was insane (as always) and with the spicy broth was such a treat. mandu were good but nothing insane. going back, I would def get the galbi jjim again, and prob try a bulgogi dish and something else new. outstanding! service was great as well with them offering to hold onto my luggage at the front!
