allday every day!
I tried to go here wednesday night but the line was insane even on a week night (see last picture). had a nice lil day off on friday so I decided to go back for lunch because I was craving it since last time I had it and I wanted to check out the hyde park loc.
vibe here is pretty awesome; it’s right in the neighborhood and in a complex with a super trendy grocery store and book store. lil outdoor patio too. I liked the decor inside and I sat at the bar where they had these incredibly comfortable woven chairs that bounced a lil 😳.
I got the sweet sausage which I ordered last time and it was just as good and consistent with last time I ordered it. awesome blend of ingredients with sweet drizzle and onions cut perfectly thin alongside a white base. glad I got it again.
my other two slices were new:
I tried the pickle pizza. it was very solid but I really didn’t need a whole slice of it. I got the idea after a few bites and since allday does large slice sizes (which I am thankful for) it was a lot. the lemon panko works well here and the pickles are sliced the right amount. I was a bit confused why it came with ranch tho since I feel like there was enough going on with the slice and it had a ricotta base so it really didn’t need the sauce. it was def worth trying and it’s a well done and interesting slice but I don’t think I need to order it again. maybe split this with someone unless you are a pickle freak 🥒
the last slice I got was my least favorite. it was their special which was a “brown butter buffalo chicken”. I really got roped in by the brown butter but I couldn’t taste any notes of that unfortunately. it was a pretty standard buffalo chicken slice. nothing noteworthy about it. luckily I had the ranch from the pickle slide so I used that to salvage this slice.
overall, I was very content with my second visit to allday and my first visit to this location. slices were just as good as I remembered them. I think next time i’ll make sure to get at least one red and one white sauce pie; this time I failed to get a red sauce pie since I was trying the new stuff.
