"First things first, this was so spontaneous- my boyfriend said "Babe, get ready", I said "Aye aye! 🫡"
I got the Grilled Half Chicken, Hand Cut Fries, and the Voyageur Passionne, while my boyfriend got the Braised Lamb Shank, the Shrimp Ceviche, and the Pinot Noir, and while we did have our own separate dishes, I most definitely did girlfriend tax everything and actually probably had more than just a tax of the ceviche :P
Grilled Half Chicken: Sooooo good, 8.5/10. The dish had celery root in it (I'm not exactly sure of what that is but I'm assuming it's celery (I can't have celery) and when my bf tasted it for me he said not to add it on the chicken), which we asked for on the side of the dish and they were accommodating of that - I was glad they were because if they couldn't remove it from the recipe, I would have gotten the burger and missed out on this masterpiece.
Hand Cut Fries: 13/10. Beautiful. Crunch, while also soft and tender. Absolutely gorgeous in visual aesthetic as well - did you SEE the brown crispiness in the photos?!
Voyageur Passionne: 9/10! Strong! Whoever made my drink had a helllluva heavy pour but it was good nonetheless, I don't usually get fruity/sweet drinks so this was a wonderful long time no sweet drink!!
Braised Lamb Shank: 8.89/10, I think he enjoyed initial first bites but after a couple more, he off handedly mentioned that it was salty. Then when I asked him for his official score, he specifically said to mention that it was salty! So please note: It's salty!! (hahah)
Shrimp Ceviche: 8/10, and he doesn't even like shrimp like that. He mentioned it could have been a little more zesty. (I'm assuming he means more acidic in taste)
Pinot Noir: 5/10, it was just a wine to him. Nothing fancy.
End of review/Diary note - my boyfriend bought me my first EADEM lip balm gloss today and it's in the color Fig Sauce (he helped me decide color too hehe) so we're feelin' pretty saucy :-)" - grace
